Sambar is a South Indian lentil stew made with vegetables and spices. This flavourful and spiced Sambar goes well with rice, idli, or Idiyappam.
Ingredients: Pigeon peas, red lentils, potato, tomato, carrots, onion, ivy gourd, Indian squash, plantain, brinjal, beans, Indian pumpkin, chilli powder, sambar powder, coriander, whole dry red chillies, asafoetida, curry leaves, mustard seeds, vegetable oil, Salt.
Allergens - Mustard seeds
Heat level - Mild (if you prefer it to be spicy, add chopped green chillies of your choice and heat it)
Goes excellent with - Pulao rice, cumin rice, lemon rice or any Indian bread.
